After years of refacing kitchens around the Northern California area, we wanted to bring factory direct, well-made, cabinet doors to contractors and DIYers alike. After hours and hours of searching through sites we knew we could do better. We embarked upon creating a seamless, beautifully made, cabinet door and parts website.
This all starts with high quality, durable, "select" grade wood, cabinet doors. When it comes to refinishing and refacing there are a few details that make for an easy time or a difficult time. One of these issues is measuring for new doors, with overlay, double door openings, hinges, and hole boring.
Here at Cabinet Mule LLC we solved this problem with an intricately made product page. Within the product page behind the scenes is a few different things. The first difference you will see is the option for "Door Measurements" and "Cabinet Opening". If you select "Door measurements" and enter your dimensions, your door will be ordered at those measurements. If you select "Cabinet Opening" the options change and there is another option for selecting an overlay. The idea behind this is that anyone can go around and measure all there cabinet openings, face frame to face frame, select an overlay, enter dimensions, and get the correct size door for that opening with the correct overlay.
The next difference you will see is an option for "single door opening" and "double door opening". When you select "single door opening" the door will be ordered at the measurements stated. If you select "double door opening" the calculator will take 1/16th of an inch off of the door size to ensure a perfect fit for that opening.
